WHAT IS FAMILY MEDIATION?

Family Mediation is a process where a mediator, conducts joint mediation sessions with both parties at the same time. The mediator will work with both of you to reach a mutually acceptable proposal which takes into consideration issues relating to finances, children and the wider aspects of divorce, relationship breakdown and separation. The mediator will work to make sure that you are both heard, that you both have your say and will allow you both to be in control of decision making. You will be able to consult a lawyer during the process and your legal rights will not be affected. Protection of your individual self-interests is important to us and we will not pressurise you to make compromises or agree to anything if it does not feel right for you.
